I think that when one is in their 20s, that's when all the baggage and issues from one's past begin to take their toll. If one doesn't face them head on and deal with the complexes while in one's 20s, by the time one turns 30, one will either have a crisis, or become someone they weren't meant to be.

Face that shit.

It all started when my first flip phone leaped (seriously, it had bad intent for itself) from my hands, plunging itself to the bottom of the flight of stairs in Marylou's first apartment.

Then there was the time I was snowboarding in Keystone and it fell out of my jacket. That one had the cool gumdrop decals on it. I'm still not totally over that loss.


The next cellphone met the Wrath of Corrin last February during a snowstorm in Akron where I fell on the ice and bodyslammed it to the ground.

Then we fast-forward to the series of Blackberry Storms that met their doom whereby one decided to end its life after a long, drawn out conversation/argument with my boyfriend about how he didn't talk to me enough and the last Storm which just. Stopped. Working.

Now we arrive at Ye Olde Blackberry Curve. Its a pretty phone. A sleek phone. And most importantly: a purple phone. This one currently allows me to access the Internet at extraordinary speeds that would cause Al Gore and Verizon to make beautiful babies, but I can't call my Dad. All i want to do is call my Dad. He's a good Dad.

I am the Medusa of cell phones. I don't know why. This is all in a span of like, 2 years. Its ridiculous. Can one be exorcised by priest to get rid of the anti-cellphone demons? If so, please. For the sake of my sanity and wallet, call that priest. Time is running short. You never know when the next poor cell phone will be annihilated.

- at least have similar metabolic functions

Either way, it leads to you both going to the bathroom at the same times all day.

And that's weird.

Feel lump in throat.
Go to sleep.
Wake up, sick as hell.
Sore throat, fever, aches.
Move out, put in Uhaul, move to Pittsburgh
Make three stops before done.
Get home in time to shower before babysitting.
Babysit. 
Chills. 
Sick.
Wake up, 103 degree fever. 
Hate life. 
Sleep. 
Wake up for work at  6:30
Screaming children.
Come home.
Sleep.

Is it so much to ask that when I ask you to toast my bagel twice so it is slightly toasted instead of just warm, that you actually do it and not just say "yes" and then not?

On a related note, why does my phone know that the word "bagels" is a word, but not the word "bagel"?

P.s. I have now typed bagel enough times that the word has lost all meaning. Also, my bagel is cold.

All to avoid the cleaning lady. Because she tries to make conversation with me while I pee.

When I'm peeing?

I'm busy.

I don't want to chit-chat about nothing. I'm in the stall. The door is shut. I'm off-limits. Leave me alone.

She will also clean the stall right next to the one you're in, and talk to you.

It's creepy.
